Scope

Responsibilities

Management: All managers and supervisors are tasked with the implementation and enforcement of this policy within their domains. They must ensure that all employment decisions are merit-based, focusing on qualifications and business needs. Managers and supervisors are also responsible for educating contractors on this policy and ensuring their compliance.

Employees: Every employee must adhere to this policy and report any violations to their supervisors or the People Team Management Department.

Contractors: Contractors must comply with this policy while working with Brask Inc. They are required to understand and adhere to the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunity, and to report any violations to their Brask Inc. contact person or the People Team Management Department.

Non-Discrimination

Brask Inc. strictly prohibits any form of discrimination. Discrimination may involve employment decisions based on:

Harassment

Harassment on the basis of any protected characteristic is a form of discrimination and will not be tolerated. Examples of harassment include but are not limited to offensive jokes, slurs, epithets, or name-calling, physical assaults or threats, intimidation, ridicule or mockery, insults or put-downs, offensive objects or pictures, and interference with work performance. Such conduct can create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment, and it will not be tolerated.

Complaint Procedure

Employees who believe they have been subjected to discrimination or harassment should report their concerns to their immediate supervisor or the People Team Management Department. Complaints can also be reported via email or an anonymous hotline, if available. All complaints will be investigated promptly and thoroughly, and appropriate corrective action will be taken if warranted. Brask Inc. prohibits retaliation against any employee who files a complaint or participates in an investigation. Retaliation includes any adverse action taken against an individual for reporting discrimination or harassment, such as demotion, suspension, or any form of discrimination or harassment.

Confidentiality

All complaints and investigations will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, consistent with a thorough investigation. Information about the complaint will only be shared with those who need to know in order to conduct a proper investigation and to take appropriate corrective action. The confidentiality of all parties involved will be protected to the extent possible, and any breach of confidentiality will be addressed promptly.

Disciplinary Actions

Employees found to have engaged in discriminatory or harassing behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Disciplinary actions may also include reprimands, mandatory training, demotion, or suspension, depending on the severity of the offense. Brask Inc. reserves the right to take legal action against any individual who violates this policy.

Training

Brask Inc. will provide regular training to all employees on their rights and responsibilities under this policy and related laws. Training will cover topics such as recognizing and preventing discrimination and harassment, understanding the complaint process, and promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace. All new employees will receive training as part of their orientation program, and ongoing training will be provided to all employees to reinforce the importance of maintaining a discrimination-free workplace.

Review and Monitoring

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect any changes in laws or organizational policies. The People Team Management Department is responsible for monitoring compliance with this policy. Regular audits and surveys will be conducted to ensure that the policy is being followed and to identify any areas for improvement. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback on the policy and suggest ways to enhance its effectiveness.
